Hydra Dermabrasion

Also known as hydra facial treatment is the latest multi-step treatment that uses non-invasive technology. Let licensed skin technicians at Ideal Body Med Spa improve your skin health, texture, tone, appearance and make you look younger and healthier!

What Is Hydra-Dermabrasion or Hydrating Facial?

Hydra-dermabrasion is similar in concept to microdermabrasion, however there are differences such as the lack of any crystals used to assist in the exfoliation process, plus the use of a specially shaped spiral tip and vortex technology which exfoliates and removes impurities alongside delivering pneumatically applied serums that cleanse, hydrate and provide antioxidant infusion during the treatment process; something which microdermabrasion does not. The non-invasive procedure is similar in principle to a regular facial, however its proven to provide more dramatic results to your skin. Its safe and effective treatment for every skin type and can address a range of concerns.   Ideal Body has partnered with leader in the cosmetics and skin tech industry Emage Medical, which proudly manufactures in USA its state-of-the art, FDA approved hydra-dermabrasion device CytoPeel with its specially formulated moisturizing and nourishing skin serums.

How Does It Work?

Microdermabrasion uses microcrystals to exfoliate the skin’s top layer and clear out the pores. The procedure features a handheld applicator with a brush or abrasive surface to get rid of impurities and dead skin cells.  The procedure starts with cleansing the face using a non-irritating soluble solution. This dissolves the sebum, bacteria, and cosmetic residue in the pores. It is then followed by an intensive micro-dermabrasion care to clear the pores and remove sebum and blackheads. Then a technician will use a cooling handpiece for closing pores. The last step is using a micro-spray for final mist application of moisturizing and nourishing using formulated serums. Comfort levels vary; microdermabrasion can be slightly uncomfortable for some. The procedure does not hurt, but your skin may be a little tender and red. It is safest and most effective when done by professionals, instead of purchasing a DIY kit and doing the treatment at home.

What are the Hydra-Dermabrasion Benefits?

The Hydra or water/serums infused facial helps improve overall skin texture, tone, and appearance. This is due to the deep exfoliation that cleans your pores, removing debris and allowing for better penetration of serums tailored to your skin condition.  Hydra-dermabrasion is indicated for the improvement in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, congested and enlarged pores (e.g., blackheads), oily or acne-prone skin and hyperpigmentation (i.e. dark areas of the skin, such as brown age spots). The procedure can be used in combination with chemical peels, some skincare products, LED lights and different types of tips if a more aggressive treatment is needed. EmageMedical has formulated great skin care serums, which are applied before, during and after the procedure. Some of the ingredients include: Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic and Mandelic Acids, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and many more. Treatment usually takes approximately 30 minutes depending on the additional options used during treatment, e.g., LED light etc. Most patients find that they can return to work and normal activities immediately after treatment.
